On May 28 of the current year, St. Petersburg hosted the 46th meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services of the member States of the Eurasian Economic Union, which was attended by Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Zhandos Duisembiev.

During the meeting, the Kazakh side stated the need to improve customs control taking into account advanced information solutions, including the introduction of QR codes for documents in accordance with the initiative of the Head of State proposed at the last meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The parties discussed and made specific decisions on the uniformity of the classification of goods, strengthening transit control and improving the declaration of export goods.

The participants underscored the importance of these decisions for the development of trade relations, the reduction of administrative burdens on businesses, and the improvement of the business climate within the EAEU countries.

The next meeting of the Joint Board of Customs Services will be held in the third quarter of this year.
